About Us

We are the SCRAPS by FutureLab team, proudly representing Greece in the 2025 FIRST LEGO League World Festival in Houston, with team number 70334. Our team consists of passionate and determined young innovators who are not only robotics champions but also climate and sustainability advocates. After an incredible season in Greece, we earned our place in the global finals where we present our Innovation Project, NEREUS.

This year’s FLL theme focused on the future of energy and sustainability, and that inspired us to dive deep — literally — into the silent crisis of ocean dead zones. Instead of looking above ground, we looked below the surface. We chose to address the lack of accessible and affordable environmental monitoring in coastal and inland waters. Our project is based on real collaboration with scientists, universities, environmental NGOs, and local authorities such as the Thessaloniki Port Authority.

FutureLab has a long history of participation in international robotics competitions, and our team has brought together some of the most creative and committed students from our academy. Beyond the competition, we are proud to act as ambassadors of Greece, of science, and of youth-driven innovation. The NEREUS project is not just a submission — it is a call to action for clean waters, smart monitoring, and global cooperation.
